Think it is down now. No trans breaks all footbrake you arent going to get cars. What about the ken mor No super street and no trans brakes... Hmmmm I bet London gets the crowd this year. that is where all of us is going. It sucks I have been to the Blugrass nationals for 25 years. When something is that good for that many years why why do you change it. have fun racing for a cut purse.

i think for the car count it needs to be no-box,but then again you through the thing about cheating back in the picture,so easy to do with a trans-brake.

Not if the cars are checked and you know what to look for.It dosen't take that long to check them either.

I was told by a few people saturday that they are gonna allow cars with a box to LEAVE THEM IN THE CAR. thats the most stupid thing I have ever heard... If they do that , everyone will be pissed.. Of course how many people have they caught (THAT WE KNOW OF) over the years and they havent done a thing to them.. If I ran a track and someone was caught running a box in no box and using it.. I would make an example of them.. let everyone know what they did and not allow them to race for 1 year.. I know of 3 people over the years that have been caught with a box in there car and nothing was done to them....

That is really stupid letting box cars keep the box in. I can see that they want more racers running both classes but that is just insane.

Agreed; leaving allowing the box to stay in the car while running no-box is stupid. No wonder people are paranoid. My box can go in or come out of the car in 30 seconds. Anyone who has watched me between classes at Thorn Hill or TriState can attest to that.
If the box isn't allowed in the car, it's not hard at all to catch a cheater. That wire has to go somewhere! If the transbrake wiring isn't easily traceable, a car won't pass a real tech inspection anyway.
P.S. I voted for allowing transbrakes.

I agree with Rawpower and malibu2x33. Leaving the box in the car SHOULD!!! not be an option. You could still put in a little delay if you were too quick... Its not rocket science. My opinion is if a box is caught or suspected it be checked out and if its found you sit out for a long time! Bottom line. I see no problem with a car running both classes IF it has the box wired with a plug and is not in the car. Glad to see some MT Park guys at BRP this weekend. Hope you guys had a good time. ;D JJ P.S. I also voted to allow transbrakes.

Whats your opinion on the adjustable transbrakes. I do not have one in the chevy II but have run one in the dragster. Heck, I won a box race in the dragster with the adjustable button. Buttons now can be adjusted to .400 of a second. I think its name is the axe. Just wondering.
Ps. I voted to allow transbrakes because i s**k at footbraking.

The adjustable transbrake buttons are near a fine line. They are nothing more than a mechanical delay box. But, if we didn't have adjustable buttons, there are a miriad of other ways to achieve the same function: tire pressure, front and rear, shock settings, tire diameter, RPM, converters, gear ratios, throttle stops (even mechanical) and the list continues. So, where do we draw the line? If buttons are disallowed, should we be allowed to adjust our own ignition timing?

I should add that there are just as many ways to adjust the reaction time of a footbrake car.

i think it should be a electronics class all-run,and a footbrake class myself, but for the car count you gotta let these guys use there buttons.
and adjusting timing, tire pressue, rpm etc has nothin to do with the class being no-box or footbrake.
the long buttons are a different story,if your gonna allow them you should just allow a box,its about the same thing i got 1 of them myself, wont be long racers will be leaving off the top bulbs with them.

It would be nice to have the footbrake class and a transbrake, but like Chris said, there just not enough cars for both.
I would agree the adjustable buttons are a fine line.

and adjusting timing, tire pressue, rpm etc has nothin to do with the class being no-box or footbrake. My point, exactly, however mudied I may have made it. Long buttons do the exact same thing. They just make it easier, with a longer range of adjustment.
