Jon O`Neal sent me a e-mail about this a while back and its totally up to the tracks. He said they dont allow them at bracket finals but thats it. As far as a weekly bracket races no problem at all.

We allow them at Bluegrass its no biggy. If anyone think a racer is cheating with one we will inspect there ride without any questions asked.
My honest opinion i dont see no problem with down track stuttering but the dirty dozen cause all this kind of stuff to take a hike.
People always say spectators dont like that kind of stuf...then you gotta sak yourself...."How many spectators really come to watch a bracket race". Not many at all is the answer.

Chris B,
That was the same answer I got. It's up to the track. There is no specific rule banning them. It's up to the division, and in division 3 they leave it up to the track.

Chris G, Unfortunately, that's why super racing in NHRA is better right now. Basically same purse, but far more contingency. They both have their pros/cons though. Anyone remember the DRR series? Best I remember, most of the local guys didn't come out for those races either. There are several reasons why, but have been told personally by a few that they didn't want to run the "big names". I don't understand this logic, but I think this could be a contributing factor for the pro am also.
