Can anyone tell me how lane choice works? We were in left lane all weekend , last night we get to lanes late and pull in lane 5 to keep left lane. Thinking we have to run the car setting on bye and pretty sure he's going to right lane. At last second another car rolls up in lane 4 and they give him left lane as he was to left of us. Just curious why we got bumped out of left lane and how it was decided.

Typically lane choice goes to the quicker car. Sounds like there WAS going to be a bye and the guy that rolled up next to you (had quicker dial in) was letting you know that you were going to be bumped over. Thats just a guess on my part , sometimes though things just get screwed up.
