To those that deep stage with street cars. I know you don't need a burnout but please wait on us drag cars that do. By that I mean deep staging before we even get a burnout. I know its your responsibility to get staged but staging before the race in front of you and the car beside you even starts a burnout. Please learn to courtesy stage. One more thing doing a dry hop with your lights on 4 feet behind the car at starting line is not fair to the guy trying to concentrate at the line with lights flashing up and down in his mirrors. So PLEASE show some common courtesy we all have enough to worry about without all of this.

I know most tracks if you will point to the tree the starter usually backs the guy out thats all in. Im sure MP would be no differant.
I agree on no one doing a burnout or dryhopping while there are cars at the line.

I have never had any problems with Marks deep staging, him beating me always bothered me LOL.......
Mark, i'll be over Thursday, I have a 125 shot dry kit we can put on your SUV!

in the rule book it says deep staging not gaurantteed it is the drivers responsiblabilty to get deep staged this is what i do i also notice you probaly get mad when a slow car that gets drove to the dragstrip beats you or someone that deep stages has a better light than you.

Dont bother me at all more car the better. Just be fair, you had the bottom bulb on before I got do with a burnout. You could turn the bulbs on but to go all in before somebody gets there isnt fair. All I want is a fair race, not the kid games

What's so unfair about any deepstager (not just Mercman) being staged before the other car does the burnout? The autostart won't begin until the other car pre-stages and as long as the other car is not intentionally delaying, the starter is not going to rush anyone. Whenever I've raced a deepstager, I just stop outside of the beams, do my normal pre-stage routine as if I'm pre-staged and then roll on in.
I've always wondered if the deepstager has to accept a wrong dial-in since they've staged before the dial-ins hit the board. ;D

Just his bottom bulb was on when i finished my burnout, I pull in and soon as I break the first beam the red light comes on for me.

Sorry Mark..... lol Primer thats bad about the light going Red on you, did you take your time going in, because like Bruno said once your prestaged the clock starts. I would ask about pulling him out to courtesy stage but will YOU have the courtesy for him to comfortably deep stage? It's difficult to deep stage, I see both sides of this. |

they hold the tree there anyways if someone is deepstaging so the timer will not red light you for taking your time on stagingdont worrry about what the other car is doing that will distract you anyways and get you off of your game
