question about the Championship in the nb classes

Explain to me why there wasnt a run off between the mod person with the most points and the super street person with the most points? They ran off every week for the extra point so why didnt they run off for the championship?? Super street is alot easier class to acquire points in than mod so that would have only been fair to run off.. Not taking anything away from the winners just wondering why.. I hope they take it back to the way it was before..

I have heard the super street car counts have been way down and the mod car count has been up.. funny how things end up...
