I appreciated seeing the pictures of my car as the featured member this month. It came at a good time as I have been ill and feeling pretty low. I've been battling melanoma skin cancer this year and then learned that my heart was stopping in my sleep so just got out of the hospital yesterday from getting a pacemaker, so I am feeling better but need 2 more surgeries for the melanoma. Will have to miss racing at the Mopar event this year. Into every life a little rain must fall they say, so hopefully I'll be back racing soon. Vern

Thanks guys for the good wishes. This week will be kind of tough but then hopefully I'll be OK. I sure missed racing at the Mopar meet but did go as a spectator. Just couldn't drive myself and hated that!

Well I had my last surgery today (I hope) for the melanoma on my nose and it went well so hopefully I am on the mend and looking forward to racing again, maybe Nov. 10 if the doc lets me. It's getting pretty late in the season anyhow so maybe next year. I appreciate my friends at MP very much.
