New payouts are awful in my opinion. I don't see any aspect of the new payouts that is a "wow factor" that will drive car count up.

I like it, if you show up they will pay the money.. Mod should pay atleast $600 every week I would say...

Under programs on the new MP website. Payouts in Top, Mod and Super are all based on car count thresholds.

i think its a good move they should have been doing it that way anyway keep the complaining down atleast people know what there running for before hand its better than them doing away with any classes like what people had been hearing.

I should probably clarify my first comment and say I think they payouts are awful for attracting racers that travel. If you live close or within a reasonable distance, the payouts are decent. I don't see many racers with longer travel making MP their first choice. Based on the advertised payout at London, most racers that are just as close to London as they are to MP, will likely head towards London for the advertised $800 weekly and the bump up to $1,000 on SSS race nights.

Bruno I live 45 minutes from London. I always drove to clay city because they paid more. This was a 90 minute drive. I'm going to start running London again. I can't drive to clay city and not win much more than if I drove to London. So dad and I are going to London and come to clay city some when they are having big races. That's my opinion

every track cant afford to do that though i guess people are gonna race where they want but i bet if london or any other track starts loosing money it wont be gaurenteed they wont keep losing money no track will i think doing it by car count works good they will pay the money if you come but it scares people because they dont think many people will show and wont be running for much money that goes back to people not running for fun anymore think about the money to much

I think this payout structure will hurt the car count in top et by probably 4-5 cars every weekend. Racers that have passed other tracks to race at Mountain Park do not have the incentive to do that anymore. When other surrounding tracks had bigger races (2500-3000), the guaranteed $2k kept me at Mountain Park due to other tracks unrealistic car minimums. I do not have that incentive anymore.
Just a comparison: Mountain Park: $55 entry, $2k with 56 car minimum London: $60 entry, $2k with 45 car minimum
I will race at mountain park simply because it's closer, but if car count goes down I will go to London. I have as much fun as anyone racing but $800 does not cut it in my book.

if i had to race for a trophy and a sticker i would still be at the track every weekend money doesnt matter its nice but this is a hobby and thats it if everybody was fourwheelin or something as a hobby you dont win money doing that no difference with racing to many people forgetting that anymore i think. Doesn't matter one way or the other to me ill still be racing no matter what they pay just like going down the track and being with friends and family

I like the Idea of knowing the payout ahead of time, not at the end.

I wouldn't have made the investments I have made if we were racing for a trophy every weekend... Some people like racing for the fun of it, I race to win. Different strokes for different folks.
I just don't see putting wear and tear on my race car for $800 a weekend when I'm trying to win a World Championship.

London has came a long way in the last year, I went there towards the end of the season and was really impressed. They have led scoreboards, new timing system. im closer to mp but its only 30 minutes farther to go to london. The place is nice, good payouts. its hard to beat that place. ill still run mp on the big events, but the 30 minute extra drive is well worth it to me escpecially if your a no box racer...

I think it`s funny that alot of racers will get into a $200 to win gamblers race or run IHRA and pay $125-$135 entry to win $1000, ya cont is nice as well with it but look at the traveling you gotta do. But i guess you are chasing a dream and as Scotty says you better have a good sponsor or deep pockets. I think if anyone knows he does. London has came a long way i agree and Craig does a great job but his 2 grand has 45 car min on it as well, not saying he wont get it but it`s no different than MP deal way i see it, he does guarantee his normal payouts though for sure. I for 1 love guaranteed purses but i also know what it take for race track to open and run each week and its not cheap and they cant pay out money they dont take in, 1 thing about these payouts racers just go race and payouts are there for sure. So i have no problem with these pay structure myself. This is the kinda chit that is killing drag racing for sure....weekly programs have turned into a big money adventure, look at the west side of the country, $500 is a good payout in top et....only part of country that pays 2k is North Carolina and no-one has car count like NC does, they can do it cause they get over 100 top cars, around here you get 50 your doing damn good. Good thing about it all is racers can go were ever they want to go and race. If i want big money i look for a big money race to go to myself, could care less as long as it pays $1000 on local. Plus you gotta win first before you worry about the top prize as well. I like the payouts spread back and not all on top. i`m just curious of they racers complaining how many of the 2K races at MP did any of them actually win? Carry on, dont anyone get there pany`s in a wad either...LOL ;D ;D
